Te Reo Māori

In class today we did some Te Reo Māori.  We sang two waiata.  One about colors and one about Māori vowel sounds.  The one about Māori vowel sounds has actions and Viena and Phyllis knew the moves and showed us them.

Here are some videos from when we were singing.

We also passed the rākau around and spoke only in Te Reo Māori about what it was, what colour it was and whether there was one or more of it.

  1. Perfect !! We are learning and practicing our vowel sounds in Te Reo Maori in totara8 - the class I am in at Greytown school. I want to teach them this song too ! Great job getting your voices around all those sounds.
