Ruamahanga Adventures

On Wednesday we went to the Ruamahanga river. The leader for the day, Beachy (thats Kate Beach's dad), guided us through the day.
Beachy telling us his best joke

We learned to ford a river in a group safely and how to do a whitewater float.
Today we spent the day on the Ruamahanga Awa. Here are a few pics with more to come! Thanks again to Beachy and all of the amazing parents who helped out today.

  1. What a fabulous day ! Who would have thought we would get another 25 degree day. Room 3 I loved the way you had a go and got involved. No complaints from anyone.

The Ruamahunga is an amazing resource for us in the Wairarapa ... I wonder what you would like it to be like in 5, 10 or 20 years time ? What would you like to be able to use it for ?

We all can have a say about what happens to our river now days and we can all make choices about how we look after it too.

Ask Mrs Rutene about how you can have a say as there is a group of people right at this moment wanting to hear what you have to say about it. Everyone .... kids, boaties, fisherman, townies, country people, farmers, mums, dads, even teenagers !!!
