Hockey Hockey Hockey

Room 3 and Room 2 have entered a competition to make a banner for the NZ Blacksticks vs. USA hockey friendlies this coming weekend at Clareville.  We are super proud of our efforts in Room 3. What do you think? If we win we get to have time with the Blacksticks!

    I love the design and the execution of your poster - execution - meaning how you carried it out ... not killing someone ! Who is going to watch ?

      Cheer Gill. About half the class are going to watch one of the games. We think we have a good chance of winning too! We are really keen for the Blacksticks to visit us. We would want to play hockey with them.

    Unfortunley we didn't win nether did room 2 :( Opaki won. I wonder what theirs looks like? Mabye they will show it at the hockey.

      The blacksticks were training on friday and I went. They had layed out some of the borders. I think I worked out what one was Opakis is. It had an egle and a USA flag on one side and a kiwi and a NZ flag on the other side. Down the bottom it said ruffle those feathers. It was really cool!!!!!!

    The banners really made the pavilion look great at the hockey - good on you for getting involved.

    Did you hear the news ? We won one game and lost the second. That means the USA won overall for the series.

    It was amazing to watch these top NZ sportswomen - so fit - so skilled ! We were lucky to have them in the Wairarapa (and Richie McCaw).
